I complete a Christmas painting each year.  This year, my inspiration was Christmas bulbs on a Christmas Tree at St. Vincent's Hospital in Indianapolis, IN.  My dad was there for about six weeks, from mid October through December of 2012.  He went in for major surgery to remove a malignant tumor on his jaw, encountered several complications, ended up in ICU for five weeks, and eventually passed away.  I visited him two or three times a week during this period.  There was a tree with bulbs on it that I saw every time I visited.
