I had fun with this.  My favorite rose is a "Gold Medal" rose bush that I grow.  I thought it was dead one year but decided not to dig it up.  At the end of the year, in October, it produced the most vibrant roses imaginable.  That strongly spoke to me about resiliency. I decided to try to paint it in this painting and imagined a purple vase on a flat table of red and yellow against a green background.  A face showed up in the middle, so I went with it.  This is now owned by RosAlie.
